2. Function:
1-8172 PRV can be installed in the main line of water supply to the house. It is mainly used to reduce and stabilize the pipeline pressure of the independent water supply or boost the water supply system.
2-8172 PRV with built-in filter is used in hot and cold water pipes of homes or apartments. By installing PRV at the front end of cold and hot water supply equipment, it can prevent excessive pressure at the water outlet such as taps and showers.
3. Dimension:

4. Instruction For Installation:
1-8172 PRV can be installed horizontally or vertically on the pipe, and the flow direction must be in the same direction as the arrow on the valve body.
2-For ease of maintenance, an isolation valve is recommended for the front end of the PRV.
3-8172 PRV is available in 22mm and 15mm connection sizes. The 22mm connection conforms to the standard of EN1254-2. When the connection with the 15mm pipe is required, as shown below.
Instructions for the 15mm Adapter:
1. When using the adapter, load the adapter into the valve body according to the sequence shown on the left, screw the locking nut, and insert the 15mm copper pipe into the interface.
2. Tighten the locking nut, about 35N. m force, the adapter will disconnect, at this time continue to tighten the locking nut, until locking, recommended 50-55N. m force locking to ensure sealing.

5. Setting Instruction:
5.1 The installation of the pressure gauge can be carried out prior to the pipeline installation. If it is to be installed at a later stage, must cut off the water supply before the PRV.
5.1.1 As shown in Figure 1, use a wrench to unscrew the blockage of the PRV in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.
5.1.2 Wrap enough raw tape or apply thread sealant to the screw on the pressure gauge.
5.1.3 As shown in Figure 2, install the pressure gauge on the PRV with a wrench, Note that force must be applied on the four-square plane of the pressure gauge interface when tightening, and the dial part cannot be directly rotating.
5.2 Pressure adjustment. In order to ensure that the adjusted pressure behind the valve is the correct pressure, all valves and taps in use after the PRV shall be closed before the adjustment is started.
5.2.1 As shown in Fiqure 4, turn the requlating ring in the valve left and right with a flathead screwdriver, turn counterclockwise to reduce the pressure behind the valve, and turn clockwise to increase the pressure behind the walve.
5.2.2 During pressure adjustment, observe the pressure change on the pressure gauge onthe valve.

6. Cleaning of valves
Care instructions
PRV's are supplied fitted with an inbuilt stainless steel strainer to protect the cartridge from system debris.
It is recommended that this filter is periodically cleaned; this can be achieved with the valve in situ.
Procedure
Close both inlet and outlet Isolating valves, if isolating valves are not installed drain the system.
Unscrew the black plastic cap carefully and using pliers pull the complete filter out. Clean with warm water, check and refit the cartridge by pushing back into body.
Reinstall the plastic cap, spring and adjustment screw. Turn water back on and check pressure setting.
